Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of normalizing those tissues. It has been used for thousands of years to promote wellness and treat pain. Massage relieves muscle tension, stimulates the nerves, and stretches muscles and connective tissue. It promotes healing by moving blood and lymph and increasing oxygen supply to the cells.
Acupuncture is the second oldest medical procedure in the world. It follows after Tibetan medicine from which acupuncture is derived. It has been used in China since 2000AD. Acupuncture encourages the body to heal itself and is used to treat a broad range of conditions from addiction to cancer. Acupuncture is the art of restoring the energetic balance of the body between the yin and yang.
Watsu & Aquatic Bodywork
Watsu is a gentle form of body therapy performed in warm water which combines elements of massage, joint mobilisation, shiatsu, muscle stretching and dance. The receiver is continuously supported while being floated, cradled and stretched. The deeply relaxing effects of warm water and nurturing support combines with Watsu’s movements, stretches, massage and point work to create a bodywork.
